For Bloodlines: Over the period of one school year (2005-2006), two urban children ages 13 and 14 years old, Ebony Graves and Dennis Midiri of Philadelphia, were given video cameras to record their lives. What if urban children were given an opportunity to share their lives in their own voices as co-directors? The form of the "video diary", in the hands of a young urban child, holds a power seldom experienced by audiences. |
